The nation observed Juma-tul-Wida (the last Friday of the holy month of Ramazan) with religious zeal and fervour throughout the country. Large congregations were held at mosques where the faithful offered prayers.
The Imams and Khateebs highlighted the importance of Ramazanul Mubarak in their sermons during the Juma congregations.
They also offered fateha for the departed souls and for the early recovery and rehabilitation of those who were injured or displaced owing to the earthquake.
Special prayers were also offered that the country remains safe from any further natural disaster.
The Ulema and Khateebs in their speeches also eulogised the services of the government for taking timely relief and rescue operations in the quake-affected areas.
They called upon the people to extend maximum help in all forms so that the aid is continuously dispatched to the affected areas.
